To apply for the X/F visa, the international students need to submit the following materials to the Chinese Embassy and Consulate:

1. Copy of Admission letter
2. Copy of Visa Application for Study in China (JW202/201)
3. Copy of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner

It is reminded that copies of the above mentioned materials should be reserved by both the student and the host institution and the original ones should be kept carefully by the student. The originals will be required in application for the Residence Permit in China after the student arrives in China.

II. Materials Required for Admission

Please refer the list of the required materials to the last page of Admission Application Form. All the required documents must be provided.

The international students to be enrolled in the fall of 2013 should hold valid passports and admission letters for registration and Chinese Language Training Courses.

Registration Time: 9:00 am-5:00 pm, September 3- September 4, 2013

Registration Venue: In the yard of Youth Apartment (Qingniangongyu), Zhongguancun Campus, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences

IV. Accommodation Registration

According to Exit-Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, the foreigner is required to complete accommodation registration procedure within 24 hours at the local police station after his/her arrival. It is generally required by the local police station that the foreigner be accompanied by a Chinese citizen with his/her ID card for registration affairs. If the student rents dwelling house outside UCAS, the owner of the house with legal property certificate is required to accompany the lodger for registration.

V. Registration

Registration information should be submitted to the International Student Office in time by faxing the stamped Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation 010-88256207 or emailing the scanned copy to wuzongyi@ucas.ac.cn. Please be noticed that only without registration, the foreign students will be not able to enjoy the status of international student and consequently enjoy any scholarship at UCAS.
