Research Interests:

Our current researches focus on wildlife-borne zoonosis and diseases harmful to endangered species caused by viruses, bacterium, and parasites, especially avian influenza. We mainly have done lots of work ininvestigating the mechanism of pathogen invasion and pathogenesis, elucidating the rules on diseases progress in organism and transmission among organisms, establishing monitoring system and platform with kinds of detecting methods to meet different demands, developing new control methods that are safer and more protective, conducting epidemiological investigation and tracing origin of diseases, andconstructing rapid and accurate early-warning and risk-assessment systems, and providing scientific basis for animal disease management and decision making.
