Resume

Postdoc experience, 2005-2007,  Department of Biology, University of Maryland, USA.
Ph. D. in Molecular Ecology, 2001-2004, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.
Master in Insect Physiology, 1998-2001, Department of Plant Protection, Shandong Agricultural University, Taian, China.
Bachelor in Biology, 1994-1998, Department of Plant Protection, Laiyang Agricultural College, Laiyang, China.

Research Interests

My research is aimed at understanding behavioral plasticity involved in group-living by using ‘-omics’ technologies in two study models, locusts and bumblebees. I am carrying out following research works: (1) genomic and epigenomic mechanisms underlying phase change of the migratory locust, Locusta migratoria; (2) genomic mechanism underlying caste determination in bumblebees. (3) the whole genome sequencing for several locust and bumblebee species.
