Research Interests
Insect Classification and Phylogenetic Evolution: By comprehensively adopting the paradigms of classical taxonomy and integrative systematics, this research direction systematically investigates faunistic classification, phylogenetic evolution, and the mechanisms underlying biodiversity formation.
Current research focuses include:
- Taxonomic revision, species cataloging, and biodiversity distribution patterns of representative groups such as Neuropterida, Psocoptera and Dermaptera in China or worldwide.
- Exploring the patterns, dynamics, and drivers of deep-time macroevolution of Neuropterida by integrating extant and fossil evidence, based on the reconstruction of morphological and genomic phylogenetic frameworks.
- Regulatory mechanisms of the evolution of key traits in Neuropterida based on multi-omics data.
