The Entomological Society of China (ESC) was founded on October 12th, 1944 in Chongqing, China. With over 13980 members, ESC is operated by the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOZ, CAS) and under the instruction of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). The 11th board of directors was elected on Nov 21th, 2022 by the members of the Society. ESC is dedicated to facilitating the academic communications, the collaboration of research projects, the popularization of scientific knowledge, the publication of academic journals, the development of young scholars and professionals, the service of scientific consulting as well as the international cooperation. ESC is a member of the International Congress of Entomology (ICE) and Asia-Pacific Congress of Entomology (APCE).
