Endangered Species Scientific Commission, People’s Republic of China (ESSC) is the Scientific Authority of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in China. ESSC is affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. ESSC comprises a committee and an executive office. The executive office is affiliated to the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
