Assistant Professor position is available in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences to investigate molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases such as polyglutamine diseases. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Genetics or other related field. This individual will supervise, schedule and perform experiments in the lab as well as train researchers in various laboratory techniques. This individual will also assist in preparing relevant findings as manuscripts and grant proposals for submission to journals and funding agencies. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. A combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered. Postdoctoral researcher positions are also available. The qualified postdoctoral candidates are expected to have a PhD with strong background in molecular/cellluar biology. Candidates with experience in DNA damage/repair research field and neuroscience are preferable.
