We are looking for highly motivated persons to fill several positions at different levels in Dr. Xinhua Lin laboratory at the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing). Our main research direction is to study molecular mechanisms of intercellular signaling in development. We will use powerful Drosophila genetics in combination with cell biology and biochemical approaches in tissue culture cells. Current focuses of the lab are (1) Genetic screens for genes involved in developmental signaling pathways including Wnt, Hh and BMP pathways; (2) Roles of proteoglycan and vesicle trafficking in morphogen distribution and signaling and (3) Roles of cell-cell signaling in pattern formation and stem cell biology. For more information about Lin lab projects, please visit http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/div/dev-biology/fac-labs/lin-lab/.
Postdoctoral fellows: The qualified postdoctoral candidates are expected to have a PhD with strong background in molecular biology and cell biology. Candidates with experience in genetics and developmental biology are preferable.
Research Assistants: Candidates for research assistant positions are expected to hold a bachelor/master or higher degree in biological sciences with emphasis in molecular biology and cell biology. Candidates with previous research experience are preferable.
Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, a detailed CV, and contact information for three references to Dr. Xinhua Lin (email: xinhua.lin@cchmc.org).
