One Ph.D and one Post-doctoral Fellowship position are immediately available in Dr. Xuesen Dong's lab at Vancouver Prostate Centre, University of British Columbia. Vancouver Prostate Centre is one of the leading cancer research institutes in Canada, offering proudly state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Dr. Dong's lab is studying the protein interactions between steroid receptor and RNA splicing factors that regulate transcription initiation and alternative RNA splicing. Two CIHR operating funds support these studies.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and self-driven applicants to join our laboratory that employs a multi-disciplinary approach to investigate androgen and progesterone signalling in cancer and myometrial smooth muscle cells. Candidates will work on projects built on previous publications (PMID: 17452459, 19423654).Commonly used techniques include molecular cloning, protein interaction assays, protein/DNA interaction, ChIP assays, and real-time PCR.
