In October, 2007, Biology of Reproduction, official journal of the Society for the Study of Reproduction in USA, released the new established Reviews Committee. Professor Qing-Yuan Sun, from Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was appointed as member of the Reviews Committee. His area of responsibility was the female gamete.

Biology of Reproduction is a world famous journal in the field of reproductive biology. From 2002 to 2006, the impact factor of this journal was between 3.498 and 3.646. Twelve scientists are involved in this Reviews Committee, including nine US scientists, a Canadian scientist, an Australian scientist and a Chinese scientist.

Professor Qing-Yuan Sun was also appointed as member of editorial board by other five SCI Journals, including Cell Cycle (in America), Molecular Reproduction and Development (in America), Journal of Reproduction and Development (in Japan), Asian Journal of Andrology (in Shanghai, China), and Progress in Natural Science (in Beijing, China). Besides, he had been offered a member of editorial board by Acta Zoologica Sinica, Chinese Journal of Cell Biology , Chinese Journal of Zoology, and Journal of Reproductive Medicine.
