Chairman and President, Dr. John Spotila, and Executive Vice President Sheri Yi, of GLOBAL CAUSE Foundation, visited Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOZ) on March 20, 2009. Deputy Director, Dr. Fuwen Wei, and Assistant Director, Dr. Jianghua Sun and relevant scientists from IOZ met with them.
Both John and Sheri visited IOZ in October, 2008. The purpose of this visit is to follow on the details of cooperation intentions reached during their last visit between Global CAUSE and IOZ. One immediate outcome is Global Cause to organize 16 American scientists to participate the 23rd International Congress for Conservation Biology, and the 3rd International Symposium of Integrative Zoology in conjunction with the Conference of 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Charles Darwin which will be hosted by IOZ in July, 2009. Other cooperative programs were also discussed.
