Haoyi Wang, Principal Investigator, Genetic Engineering Technology Research Group, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his PhD from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009 and conducted postdoctoral research at the Whitehead Institute of Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, he joined the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and set up his own lab. Recently, he has developed multiple novel TnpB gene editing tools and DNA transposon tools, and identified several new families of tandem repeat proteins that bind to DNA. He has established efficient gene editing methods in human pluripotent stem cells and CAR-T cells, and collaborated on clinical studies of gene edited CAR-T cell therapy for solid tumors; Established culture conditions for human naive embryonic stem cells, among other achievements. The relevant research results have been published in journals such as Cell, Nature Biotechnology, Cancer Cell, Cell Stem Cell, Genome Research, and Cell Research. More than 80 SCI academic papers have been published, with total citations exceeding 17000 (according to Google Scholar). In recent years, he has undertaken the National Key Research and Development Program of China as chief scientist, two sub projects of the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation including China Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, Excellent Young Scholars Fund, General Program, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China.
