| Resume: |
Prof. Moshi Song is a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She obtained her Master’s degree in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and her Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology at Washington University in St. Louis (USA). She then completed her postdoctoral training at the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Stanford University (USA). In early 2018, She joined the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a full-time Principal Investigator and established the Mitochondria and Disease Research Group. Her research is centered on unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac aging and developing innovative interventive strategies for cardiac aging and related diseases. Utilizing human cellular aging models and animal models of cardiovascular aging and related diseases, her work aims to elucidate key molecular mechanisms, identify clinically relevant biomarkers, and develop novel therapeutic interventions. She has over 100 publications that have garnered over 9,200 citations, with an H-index of 47. In the past five years, she has served as corresponding or co-corresponding author on 34 publications in SCI journals such as Cell, Circulation Research (x2), Nature Aging (x2), Nature Communications (x2), Cell Research, iMeta, and Advanced Science (x3), with an average impact factor of over 13. She has also filed 23 invention patents, of which 9 have been granted. |
