Chen, Jun, Male, born in 1969, Ph. D., Associate Professor, Vice President of the National Zoological Museum of China, Curator of the Invertebrate Division From 1994, Dr. Jun Chen began his research work on the systematics and zoogeography of Araneae in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOZ, CAS). In 2000, Dr. Jun Chen focused his work on taxonomic study on Oribatida. When he visited the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes (CNC), Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 2003, Dr. Jun Chen co-worked with Dr. Valerier M. Behan-Pelletier on taxonomy of oribatids. After that, he continues his research work on mites in IOZ, CAS, as well as takes part in the construction of the National Zoological Museum of China.
Dr. Jun Chen has taken charge of or attended of more than 10 research projects from National Science Fund of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc. and published more than 40 research papers and co-compiled two monographs.Directing the thesis work of a graduate student for master degree and co-directing the thesis work of a graduate student for Ph. D..
