  1. Develop and optimize the epigenome engineering tools for targeting gene regulation in plants.
  2. Explore the signaling pathways and gene regulatory mechanisms involved in the interactions among crops, pathogen, and insect vectors to uncover the mechanisms of pathogenesis, vector-mediated disease transmission, and plant disease resistance
