Resume: |
Born in 1965 in Anhua, Hunan Province. He obtained his BS (1986) in Biology from Hunan Normal University in Changsha, and his MS (1992) and PhD (2002) in the Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 1992, he joined the Group of Economic Ecology as a research associate where he worked on IPM of Cotton and Rice Pests followed Professor Sheng Chengfa. Since then, he stayed there as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate professor. During the period of IPM Program of Cotton, He twice received Scientific and Technological Progress Second Prize of CAS in 1992 and 1996, respectively. Ten years later, he participated into Professor Ge Feng’s Group of Population Ecology and Global Changes and continued his research plans from National Key Basic Research Project, National Key Technology R&D Program, and Natural Science Foundation of China. He has a strong background in Chemical Ecology and Population Dynamics of Cotton/Rice Pests. His research focuses on identification of sex pheromone and application of pheromone lures in managements of cotton/rice pests, Volatile components of plants and role of semiochemicals in plant-insect interactions. He has authored or co-authored 30 refereed and 10 non-refereed publications in national and international journals and proceedings. He involved in a course Fundamentals of Ecology, and currently serves as an instructor for two graduate students. |
