According to the research achievements, wild birds play very important roles between pestilence source of avian influenza and poultries, and have great impact on the process of virus transmission. To strengthen the research of prevention and control, from 2006, IOZ cooperated with US Ministry of agriculture, conducting the pestilence source monitoring research on avian influenza of wild animals. This cooperating research aims to achieve a scientific understanding of host distribution and virus database on the basis of pestilence source investigation of avian influenza. Analyzing the genomic sequence analysis of virulent strain, behavior and ecology of hosts, this research aims to achieve a scientific understanding of variation and transmission approaches, providing predicting basis for biosafety of breeding industry.
