Prevention and Control of Wild Animals' Infectious Diseases

Research in this theme aims to achieve a scientific understanding of co-evolution and ecological focal infection between pathogen, host animals and livestock, strengthening cross and integration of ecology, molecular biology, and microbiology. Research emphases are laid on outbreak and epidemic of infectious disease in host population; transmission of pathogen from food webs, ecological chain to human beings and livestock; measures taken to cut off the transmission chain; measures to predict and control host population; providing technological and scientific support to prevent and control animal-borne infectious diseases.
