Research of this theme aims to achieve a scientific understanding of in-situ and ex-situ conservation of endangered animals, in order to develop conservation strategies for wildlife protection and sustainable utilization of animal resources, and provide advices for national biodiversity conservation. Its main research areas cover animal behavior, animal ecology, ecological and genetic processes in endangered species, and effects of environmental change on population viability of endangered species.
